OUR MISSION
Empowering Immigrants is driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all. Our mission is to enhance predominately Spanish speaking students to speak proficient English with the use of flashcards. Some students are not equipped as well as others and with our help students who need more help will have supplementary materials to get ahead.
THE DRIVE BEHIND THE ORGANIZATION
EMPOWERING IMMIGRANTS is a 501 (c) (3) non profit organization.
A man named Arturo Cambeiro had a vision to make Las Vegas, Nevada a better place. Arturo was an immigrant from Cuba and spoke very little English. He came to the United States with literally nothing, but determination to make life better for him, his family, and others.
With his determination, hard work, and perseverance he became a well known architect. When he passed away in 1990, he was recognized as an outstanding member in the Las Vegas, Nevada community and an elementary school was built in his name.
This organization will not only carry on Arturo Cambeiro's legacy of helping others to succeed, but will also help others feel confident, successful in their daily lives.

Learning English in a Flash
The app was created to scale the delivery of the flashcards and reach more students. LEAF is an app that is available to all students at school and at home. The app does the following:
* The app uses videos of middle and high school students speaking words in Spanish and English to form an interactive environment for students learning English
* Enhances Spanish and English words by categories (animals, colors, household items etc.)
* The app is a visual and audio tool that allows a student to not only see the picture of a word, but hear the word as well.
* The app targets students in grades K-3
* LEAF is supported by many media platforms (Apple and Android) that allows schools and teachers easy access for download capabilities when they need it.
* LEAF is also available online.
* The app is FREE!!!!
WAYS WE HELP
Empowering Immigrants is an organization of changing and shaping lives. Starting from scratch, we are working with an elementary school and expanding to others to create Spanish and English flash cards for students to take home and learn the English language. Our goal is to allow predominant Spanish speaking students become proficient in the English speaking language.
